John has worn many hats during his long career but his main interest remains challenging teachers to think about what happens in their own classrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">John\u2019s seminal articles\u00a0<em>Beyond Rashomon\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s See<\/em>\u00a0have been reprinted in many anthologies, and formed the basis of his groundbreaking books\u00a0<i>Breaking Rules<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Contrasting Conversations.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p>His latest book, <a href=\"\/itdihome\/small-changes-teaching-big-results-learning\/\"><em>SMALL CHANGES in teaching BIG RESULTS in Learning<\/em><\/a> was published by iTDi\u00a0 in 2017, on the 30th anniversary of his book <em>Breaking Rules \u2014c<\/em>alled a groundbreaking book in Jeremy Harmer&#8217;s comprehensive ESOL methods book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John F Fanselow&#8217;s journey began as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Nigeria in 1961 at a teacher training college.
